Britannia Fleming / Medicine

First degree in Medical studies at the Technion.
Participated in the Technion Excellence Program: October 2006- July 2008.

Brit took courses from advanced studies that are usually not for the undergraduate students.

She was also accepted to work at a research lab even though it is not customary for first year medical students to get that opportunity: She was accepted to work at Prof. Lior Gepstein’s research lab .

Recommendation to Program participants: “Candidates preparing a lecture should try and make it interesting and contemporary, and be completely familiar with their subject. Participants should enjoy the benefits offered by the Excellence Program, such as interesting lectures, help in getting into courses and especially fun things like the trips”.

Today (2012): After completing 3 years of research in stem cells and development at Prof. Thomas Schultheiss’s research lab, Brit has returned to medical studies. She intends to continue her research and combine it with clinical studies.
