Technion Program for Excellence

Oshri Halimi / Electrical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics

About myself: “The secret of being a bore is to tell everything.
Never refuse an opportunity for an adventure.
My greatest passions are the sea and the science. Or the science and the sea. Difficult to decide what comes before what. Both embody the same thing for me: man’s desire to challenge the world into which he was born, saying: “Now you and me are facing each other.”
I was exposed to science thanks to a very great man.
I began to study chemistry at the Technion when I was 15 and the more I learned the more I fell in love with this field, which is very good at making you feel like a magician.
When I was 18 I participated in the international chemistry Olympiad in Budapest and won a bronze medal.
In the army, I served in a technological unit, where I was further exposed intensively to the world of programming and signal processing.
Now I’m studying physics and electrical engineering and finishing what was left of chemistry.

What year did you start the program: Winter 2011.

Hobbies: Music, sailing, diving, hiking, chess.
