First degrees in Electrical Engineering and Physics at the Technion.
Direct PhD at California Institute of Technology, where he studied topological phases of matter, non-abelian statistics and quantum Hall physics.
Post-Doc in Electrical Engineering at UCLA
Participated in the Technion Excellence Program: 2000 – 2003.
During his undergrad, Waheb did research in MEMS (Micro Electro Mechanical Systems). Being in the Program made it easier for him to approach professors and get their attention. His research in MEMS involved designing the electrical and mechanical parts of a micron size gyroscope. His research was under the supervision of Prof. Yael Nemirovsky from the Electrical Engineering faculty.
Today (2018): Waheb is a member of the technical staff at Applied Materials in Santa Clara, California, working in the advanced imaging technology team.
