Yael V. Hochberg / Industrial Engineering and Management

First degree in Industrial Eengineering and Management at the Technion.

MSc degree in Economics at Stanford University, USA (2000).
PhD Degree in Finance at Stanford University, USA (2003).

Participated in the Technion Excellence Program: October 1995 – February 1997.

Yael combined advanced courses with multi-disciplinary studies (IEM, OR, Econ).

Yael did research on Telephone service systems – management, control and operation.

Today (2012): Yael is an assistant Professor of Finance, Kellogg Graduate School of Management, Northwestern UniversityShe specialize in Venture Capital and Entrepreneurial Finance. She is also a Faculty Research Fellow at the National Bureau of Economic Research, in the Corporate Finance Program and the Entrepreneurship Program.

Yael is an Associate Editor at the Review of Finance, the 4th-best finance journal in the profession by impact factor.

She currently serves as a faculty advisory board member for the Innovations and New Ventures Office at Northwestern University (formerly the Technology Transfer office).

Yael is a faculty affiliate of the Heizer Center for Private Equity and Venture Capital, the Zell Center for Risk Management, and the Center for Research in Technology and Innovation at the Kellogg School of Management.
