Nir May / Technion Excellence Program

About myself: I was born in 1997 and grew up in Modi'in. Since my 9th grade, I have been in the scouts and took some key roles at my scout group. In 10th grade, I started taking courses in math and computer science at the Open University while majoring in physics and computer science at school.
On my last two years in school, I participated in the Israeli physics Olympiad and was chosen to be part of the Israeli delegation to the Asian Physics Olympiad in Hong Kong and in the International Physics Olympiad in Switzerland. In both those competitions I was awarded bronze medal.
After high school, I was recruited to the army and served in the intelligence corps.

Hobbies and other activities: I enjoy reading science books, playing the guitar, hanging out with my friends and working out at the gym.

When did you start the program?: Winter 2019.
