Oren Louidor / Computer Science

First degree in Computer Science at the Technion.

M.Sc. in Operations Research in Industrial Engineering and Management at the Technion (2006)

MA in Mathematics at the Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences (New York University) (2006)

Ph.D. in Mathematics at Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences (New York University).

Post-doc (Simons Fellow) at UCLA department of Mathematics.

 

Participated in the Technion Excellence Program: October 1997 – February 2000.

 

Oren used the Program to include in his studies multi-disciplinary subjects that interested him and to participate in advanced courses (in Math, EE, IE) leading to a higher degree. He also took courses without taking their prerequistes.

He began to study for his second degree in operations research before he had completed his undergraduate studies.

His research deals with "Constant stochastic models to describe operations research problems" under the direction of Prof. Avishai Mandelbaum from the Faculty of Industrial Engineering and Management.

 

Today (2013): Oren is an assistant professor at the faculty of Industrial Engineering & Management at the Technion.
