BSc in Mechanical Engineering, MSc in Bio-Medical Engineering, PhD in Bio-Medical Engineering at the Technion.
Participated in the Technion Excellence Program: October 2004 – July 2005.
Andrei took full advantage of the opportunities offered by the program. He enrolled in foundational courses from four different faculties and pursued advanced courses even without the prerequisite background. He also conducted research in bio-tribology, which earned him two prizes and led to the publication of his first article.
His undergraduate program was designed in collaboration with Prof. Avraham Shitzer from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, with the goal of specializing in biomechanics. This multidisciplinary curriculum enabled Andrei to integrate two distinct fields—Mechanical Engineering and Biology—into a direct path toward his PhD.
In addition, Andrei carried out research on “Nano-Particles in Bio-Tribology” under the supervision of Prof. Izhak Etsion from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. This research was presented during Koret Foundation Week at the Technion and was awarded both the Zeiden Family Prize and the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering Prize for Annual Excellence in Projects.
Recommendation to Program participants: "Dare as much as you can and use the benefits of the Excellence Program to open opportunities for you. Take the benefits to the limits and do multi-disciplinary programs."
