First degree in Physics at the Technion.

PhD in Systems Biology at the Weizmann Institute of Science.

Participated in the Technion Excellence Program: October 1997 – February 2000.

Nitzan included advanced courses in his curriculum and in his last semester began to study for a higher degree in the field of Systems Biology at the Weizmann Institute of Science, combining interdisciplinary studies in biology and physics. The centre-piece of his PhD was published in Science Magazine.

After heading the Computational Biology group at Rosetta Genomics, Nitzan started a new research group at the Cambridge Research Institute focusing on Molecular and Computational Diagnostics. Link to website
