BSc in Physics and Materials Engineering, MSc and PhD in Physics at the Technion.
Postdoctoral fellowship at the Laboratory of Atomic and Solid State Physics at Cornell University.
Participated in the Technion Excellence Program: October 1993 – June 1997.
He began his research in the framework of the Program on: "The accuracy of semiclassical quantization", under the direction of Prof. Shmuel Fishman from the Faculty of Physics. The expansion of this research was published as a scientific article. In fact, he continued to work in the same research group for his MSc. and my PhD.
They studied the accuracy of semiclassical quantization for a particular system – the circle billiard. This was of interest as it was claimed that the average error is increasing with energy, while one expects semiclassical methods to improve in this limit. They showed that the average error increases due to a small subset of the eigenvalues, while the energy levels of the rest are well approximated by semiclassical quantization.
"My experience with research encouraged me to continue for PhD. in Physics and helped me to choose Prof. Fishman as my advisor."
