About Myself: My name is Tomer Cohen, I was born in 2001 in the city of Gedera, where I grew up and finished high school. During middle school I participated in a program by the Weizmann Institute of Science where I had a lot of fun learning about many scientific fields. My majors were physics and biology, two topics that I had great interest in.
After graduating, I joined the IDF as a soldier in the unit of COGAT. I was responsible for giving permits to enter Israel, and was also stationed at Allenby Bridge. Shortly after the end of my service, I started to work as a teacher.
Hobbies and activities: I mostly enjoy reading, playing the piano, traveling and taking long walks. I also like to read about science, math, physics, biology, linguistics and geography. Recently I also started taking online courses in Computer Science, a topic I find very interesting.
When did you start the program? Winter 2023.
