First degree in Electrical Engineering at the Technion.

Thesis subject: "Linearly Encodable Ensembles of LDPC codes with low Frame Error Rate".
Participated in the Technion Excellence Program: October 1995 – June 1998.
Shay did research on: "FIR Filter design for Filter Bank decomposition" in order to determine what is required for such filters and find a method of designing them.
He researched the problem of designing filters for a sub-band composition and de-composition. The research was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Meir Zibulski.
Recommendation to participants in the Program: "Make use of the possibilities. If you start working later on you will not have the time or freedom to do so much in so many fields."
