Eden Avishai / Medicine

BSc in Medicine.

Participated in the Technion Excellence Program: Winter 2014 – 2017.

During his first degree, Eden took part in a summer course in Germany, at the lab of Professor Olga Golubnitschaja, with her he published an article.

Today, Eden is doing research at the laboratory of Professor Asya Rolls, at the Technion's Faculty of Medicine. This lab is working on Psychoneuroimmunology, meaning the relationship between the brain and the immune system, and how mental status can affect the immune system. Eden's research will deal with the liver – a main organ in this communication.

He is also working with Professor Golubnitschaja, and together they are writing about hospitals of the future. The purpose of the chapter they are writing is to explain how PPPM – Predictive, Preventive and Personalized medicine must be implemented in modern hospitals, and to demonstrate it on inadequate treatment of wounds.
