First degrees in mathematics and Physics at the Technion.

Second degree in mathematics at the Weizmann Institute.

Participated in the Technion Excellence Program: October 2004 – May 2005

His thesis dealt with Chaos Theory, and concerns a possible connection between circular billiards, and the Riemann Hypothesis in Math.

Recommendation to Program participants: "The possibility of stretching the horizons through the lectures and external courses is very important, and the flexibility of the Program is something that I learn to appreciate only now when I am out of it".

Today (2012): Nir is working on his PhD research at the Hebrew University under the supervision of Omri Gat. His research area is quantum level crossing, following the work of Landau and Zener.
