Ofir Shorer / Medicine

About Myself: I was born in 1995 in Lehavim, Israel.
During childhood, I competed triathlon in Israel and Europe, and won Israel's youth triathlon championships.
In high-school, I participated a scientific delegation to the Large Hadron Collider at CERN, Switzerland. I learned mathematics in a unique program of Ben-Gurion University and conducted several theses and participated national competitions and conferences.
I graduated the "Young Researchers" program at the Weizmann Institute of Science, where I conducted research projects and was elected to represent Israel in the 44th International Summer Science Institute (ISSI).
After graduating "Eshel HaNasi" high school, I served 5 years in the IDF, 3 of them as an officer.

Hobbies and other activities: Besides my passion for triathlon, I love to play my acoustic guitar, learn new spoken languages, and read biographies and history books.
I love concerts, musicals and explore new fields of interest.
