Roee Engelberg / Computer Science

First degree in Computer Science at the Technion.
Direct route to PhD in Computer Science at the Technion, 2008.

Participated in the Technion Excellence Program: 2000 – 2002.
Roee included advanced courses in his curriculum. He skipped his MA for a direct PhD under the guidance of Prof. Seffi Naor from the Computer science faculty.

Recommendation to Program participants: "Seek for guidance (try to contact some alumni of the program!), don't be afraid to dare and above all – start doing research as soon as you can (even in the second semester)".

About the Program: "The Program is like your home in the Technion – it will help you with everything – so enjoy!"

Today (2018): Working at Google Research Israel. He is also teaching in the Computer Science department at the Technion, and in 2016 was awarded the Chillag Prize for excellence in teaching.
